USU integrates AI-based Field Service planning into service management

USU has expanded the market-leading product suite Valuemation for IT and enterprise service management to include important functions for automated planning for Field Service. The AI-based technology is supplied by USU’s new partner FLS GmbH. It offers Valuemation customers optimized tour planning for employees (e.g. service technicians), taking into account numerous criteria, such as skills, assignment locations, costs or traffic conditions. If there are unexpected events such as traffic jams, weather or illness, the current planning is automatically adjusted in real time.

The FLS technology integrated into Valuemation enables service organizations to achieve an unprecedented level when it comes to the flexible planning of their Field Service resources. All parameters relevant for planning are constantly recorded in real time and the necessary changes are automatically made in terms of personnel, equipment and routes. The high speed and level of optimization achieved reduce the work load on dispatchers to a high degree. This allows Field Service to process more service requests with the same amount of staff, while improving the overall quality.
