USU Charity Run Raises 9,000 Euros to Support Social Projects

“Doing good with every step” – following this motto, 115 employees participated in this year's virtual USU charity run. Depending on the distance, USU donated between 50 to 200 Euros per person. In total, 1972 km were covered across various USU locations – by walking, running, and cycling. Through the athletic efforts of the USU staff, a total of 9,000 Euros was raised.

The donation will be divided among three charitable organizations that focus on the support of children and youth:

  • Construction of a kindergarten and an Evangelical School in Sudice, Czech Republic: A project to create educational facilities for about 60 children. More information: https://www.sudickaskola.cz
  • German-French Youth Office (DFJW): An organization promoting cultural exchange among young people between Germany and France. More information: https://www.dfjw.org
  • Kifa Child Pedagogy (Neumayer Foundation): An educational program for mothers on child and family education. More information: https://kifa.de; https://www.neumayer-stiftung.de/en/our-projects

"We are impressed by the self-initiative and active contribution of our employees. Therefore, we are pleased to support this athletic and social commitment," says USU board member Dr. Benjamin Strehl.
